It is not only important to understand the hazmat issues associated with the decommissioning activities but also to possess the knowledge, capability and experience with the strictly regulated final cleaning, decontamination, handling, destruction and/or recycle of contaminated build materials, process systems and structures.

THIS provide full (bespoke) Waste Management Plans (WMP), as well as detailed Mercury Management Plans (MMP), which can be authored in conjunction with the design, construction and implementation of onshore dismantling and decommissioning facilities and the research, analysis, design and implementation of offshore decommissioning activities.

A number of contaminants may be present, in various materials, that will dictate the appropriate removal, handling and disposal route including, but not limited to:

• Onshore decontamination of all Mercury and Hydrocarbon contaminated components prior to reuse, decommissioning or destruction with a bespoke optimised legal and traceable COC (Chain of Custody) waste management support service.

• Field analysis HHXRF (link to HHXRF page) (Hand Held X-Ray Fluorescence) analysers calibrated (in a word first) specifically for ‘Hg in Scale’ to ensure a higher degree of accuracy
• Bespoke spill containment and cleanup packages for hydrocarbons, acids and alkali
